How I've cataloged my DVD library

I've been able to scan in all of my titles into a FREE application called DVD Profiler using a FREE :CueCat combined with FREE Catnip barcode reader application.  Here's instructions on how to set things up.

DVD Profiler is a very handy little DVD database.  It provides much more detail (aspect ratio, audio, video, actors, directors, cover art etc.) than the old spreadsheet that I had to update manually, and enables you to upload your DVD library to their site for public viewing.

...did I mention that it is FREE!?

I’ve decided to take this option over maintaining and publishing a large spreadsheet with links to the Internet Movie Database.

It is so much faster to scan the DVD's UPC with the :CueCat, and upload my DVD profile to the DVD Profiler web site.
